Professional and International. The PR Avenue helps the club to build the image
of the movement in the society. Also, two other avenues i.e. Cyber Media and RRD
are the need of the time and thus crucial for better club functioning.
There are two types of Rotaract Clubs: -
Community
based in which any
youth, who is eligible can become a member.
Institution
based in which only the
member of that particular institute can become a member.

Avenue
wise activities:
Community
Service - Rotaract Clubs
carry out various Community service projects in an effort to improve the
lives of the people around them. Rotaractors not only have great ideas about
how to help people in need but together they have the power to make these
ideas work. The possibilities for worthwhile projects are endless but to
name a few - volunteering for literary campaigns, assist at orphanages,
blood donation & vaccination camps, clean up drives, promoting youth
talent in the community etc.
Professional
Service - Rotaract
builds leaders & these leaders build strong community. Towards the
professional development of the members, the clubs organize communication
skills & public speaking sessions, training programs, workshops on
various topics etc. Also Rotaract Clubs help their members make the most
informed choices in their careers through marketing & management
seminars & career planning programs. Business & professional support
from Rotarians help make these programs especially valuable.
International
Service - Rotaract
provides an opportunity for youth to learn more about the other cultures
& do their part to promote world peace & understanding. Such
activities take many forms in which several exchange programs are carried
out. Thus new friendships are developed across the globe on the basis on
international goodwill & understanding.
Club
Service - Rotaractors
work hard, but they believe in having good time. They hold barbecues,
campaign trips, outings & picnics, cultural festivals, socials &
various other fun-filled events to have more interaction among themselves.
Whatever they do, Rotaractors know how to have fun, make friends & make
the world a little better place in the process.
To develop professional and leadership skills.
To emphasize respect for the rights of others based on recognition of the
worth of each individual.
To recognize the dignity and value of all useful occupations as
opportunities to serve.
To recognize, practice and promote ethical standards as leadership
qualities and vocational responsibilities.
To develop knowledge and understanding of the needs, problems and
opportunities in the community and worldwide.
To provide opportunities for personal and group activities to serve the
community and promote international understanding and goodwill to all people.
Of
the things we think, say or do.
Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIP?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to
all concerned?
Every
Rotaract Club is part of a district Rotaract organization, run by elected
representatives with support from sponsoring Rotarians. The district
organization plans regional conferences, develops regional projects, holds club
leadership training programs, and sponsors special events to strengthen the bond
among clubs.
Rotaract
functions internationally through a committee of Rotaractors and Rotarians. This
committee works with Rotary International to plan an annual two days-long forum
held prior to the Rotary international convention. This event offers Rotaractors
from all over the world the chance to meet, discuss issues of mutual interest,
and develop friendships based on international goodwill and understanding. Every
three years Rotaractors conduct another international meeting called Interota,
named from the words international and Rotaract.
